FAQ

Common questions

What happens to transparency when converting to JPG or BMP?
JPG and BMP don't support transparency, so any transparent areas in a PNG, WEBP, or GIF source are filled with white. PNG, WEBP, and GIF targets keep transparency intact.
Does this preserve image quality?
Lossless formats (PNG, BMP, GIF) convert without quality loss. JPG and WEBP use a high-quality setting, but as lossy formats they involve some compression by design.
Is my image stored on your server?
Your file is uploaded to convert it — that upload is required for this specific tool — and the file is cleaned up from server storage after processing.
What's the file size limit?
10MB per file.
Can I convert HEIC, TIFF, or SVG files?
Yes — HEIC (iPhone photos), TIFF (scanners/print), and SVG (vector graphics) are accepted as input. They are decoded server-side via Imagick or ImageMagick and re-encoded to your chosen target (JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, or BMP). HEIC, TIFF, and SVG cannot be used as a target format.

Why Convert SVG to PDF?

  • Universal compatibility — PDF opens everywhere, SVG only opens in browsers and vector tools.
  • Email-friendly — most email clients don't render inline SVG. PDF is universally supported.
  • Print-ready — most home and office printers accept PDF directly.
  • Compact — a PDF wrapping a small SVG is much smaller than a flattened raster.

About SVG and PDF

SVG is an XML-based vector format. PDF embeds the rendered image (or vector data) along with a small header, so the resulting file is portable across every device and tool.

A note on support

This is an alias of our Image Converter. The Image Converter is currently optimised for raster image-to-raster conversions (JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, BMP). SVG input is fully supported; the PDF output path is a placeholder pending backend rollout. The page exists so the URL resolves and the navigation is complete — once the PDF writer lands, no further changes will be needed here.

Privacy

Files are uploaded to our server for conversion (required for SVG decoding), processed, and then discarded. We don't retain copies.
