JPG to TIFF Converter
Re-encode a JPEG photo as a lossless TIFF. TIFF is the de facto standard for scans, print, and archival — useful when you need a lossless container for a JPG original before further editing or printing.
How to Convert JPG to TIFF
1. Upload Your JPG File
Drag a .jpg or .jpeg file onto the drop zone, or click to browse. Files up to 10MB are supported.
2. Pick a target
Choose the target format you want — by default this converts to TIFF.
3. Download the result
Click Convert, preview, and download.
Why Convert JPG to TIFF?
- Lossless container — TIFF is a lossless format; the file is much larger but you lose no further quality to re-encoding.
- Print / scan pipeline — most scanners, RIPs, and print shops expect TIFF.
- Archival — TIFF is stable, well-supported, and a common archival format.
About JPG and TIFF
JPG is a lossy raster format with universal support. TIFF is a lossless container widely used for scanned documents and print. Convert JPG → TIFF when you want a lossless copy for editing, print, or archival and don't mind the file size increase.
A note on support
This is an alias of our Image Converter. The Image Converter currently supports HEIC, TIFF, and SVG as input. The TIFF output path is a placeholder pending backend rollout — re-encoding as TIFF requires a TIFF writer that is not yet wired up. The page exists so the URL resolves and the navigation is complete — once the writer lands, no further changes will be needed here.
