Why Convert SVG to JPG?
- Universal compatibility — JPG opens everywhere. SVG support is patchy outside of web browsers, design tools, and vector editors.
- Social media — Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and most messaging apps require raster uploads. They either reject SVG or render it poorly.
- Email — most email clients don't render inline SVG. JPG/PNG are universally supported.
- Print — most home and office printers prefer raster input.
About SVG and JPG
SVG is an XML-based vector format. Files are tiny and infinitely scalable, but raster-only tools (most image editors, social media, printers) can't ingest them. JPG is a lossy raster format that opens everywhere. Our tool decodes the SVG server-side via librsvg / ImageMagick, rasterizes it to a sensible default resolution (150 DPI), and re-encodes it to JPG at high quality (90%).
Privacy
Files are uploaded to our server for conversion (required for SVG decoding), processed, and then discarded. We don't retain copies.
